Abandoned House Demolished

Tutong - Demolition work was carried out recently at the Kg Bunut Perpindahan in Jalan Tutong to take down an - abandoned structure built in the 195 Os, which belonged to the family of Awg Osman bin Hj Tarrif.

Village head of Kg Bunut Perpindahan Awg Hj Adanan bin Hj Md Salleh was present at the demolition, manned by villagers and members of the Fire Department.

Also present was penghulu of Mukim Kilanas Awg Hj Abdullah bin Hj Halus.

The objective of the project was to respond to a call made by His Majesty's Government to demolish all abandoned houses to prevent any anti-social activities to be conducted thus protecting the welfare of the residents. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
