Peterpan Set To Woo Brunei Fans

Begawan - Peterpan, a group with the largest fan base in
Indonesia, is set to arrive in the country January 5 next year for
their "Peterpan Live in Brunei" concert.
The group will be the 2006 curtain
raiser of performances in Kuala Lumpur when they perform in "Peterpan
Live in Kuala Lumpur" on January I at the city's Merdeka Stadium.
In Brunei, Peterpan will be
performing at the Indoor Stadium, Hassanal Bolkiah Sports Complex in
Berakas on January 7 at 8.15 pm which has seen various stars such as
Kris Dayanti, Rhoma Irama and Elvy Sukaesih perform.
Peterpan,
who recently won six awards at the Indonesian Music Industry Awards
(AIM 2005), will arrive early January 5 with 20 crew members including
sound engineers and technical personnel.
Organised
by De Hayat Musical and Production with HSBC as the main sponsor, the
group will be attending various promotional sessions including
interviews with radio stations, attending meet-the-fans session and
visiting their sponsors.
The meet-the-fans session will be
held at Orchid Garden Hotel's ballroom on January 6 at 7 pm. Only $80
and $60 ticket holders can attend the dinner with Peterpan by
purchasing a $50 ticket each.
The concert, which is expected to
pull in more than 5,000 fans, will also feature a special one-hour
special segment where local artistes such as Putri Norizah and Faiz
Nawi, accompanied live by DRS Band, will perform for the home crowd.
Meanwhile, tickets are priced at $80,
$60 and $40 (numbered seats) as well as $20 (free seating) and are
available at De Hayat Home Products at Batu Bersurat, Gadong; Yayasan
Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah; Dee Jay Home Video, The Mall, Gadong;
Vincci at Shakirin Complex, Kiulap; Halim Plaza Hotel, Tutong; and
Riviera Hotel, Kuala Belait.

Peterpan,
comprising Ariel, Andikam Uki, Reza, Loekman and Indra, performed in
more than 200 concerts a year. They have sold some three million
albums in Indonesia and 200,000 in Malaysia.
The group is expected to entertain
their fans in the country for about an hour, rendering songs from
their two albums, Taman Langit and Bintang Di Surga, as well as a
soundtrack album, Alexandria. --
