Number Of Road Mishaps On Increase

Bandar Seri Begawan - The frequency of road accidents appears to be on the increase in the country, with two cases last weekend alone.

The first incident took place on Saturday night along the Berakas-Lambak road near the junction to Kg Perpindahan Lambak Kanan. One of the drivers allegedly lost control of the car during heavy downpours and collided with another vehicle.

Another incident occurred around 1 pm yesterday along the single carriage in Kg Telisai near the Telisai Primary School. It involved a motorcycle and a car. The cause of the accident is still unknown.

Fortunately, no injury was reported in both accidents. Motorists are once again reminded to be extra cautious while driving during heavy rain. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
