Brunei Delegation Joins Omani
Women Expo 2005

Begawan - Hundreds of women, including their families, visited
the female-only Women Expo 2005 at the Oman International Exhibition
Centre in Seeb, Muscat, Oman from December 12-16 in their search for
products exclusive to the gentler gender.
The exhibition was also participated
by a group of exhibitors from Brunei, promoting halal food, garments
and other high-quality products and services.
Brunei exhibitors were accompanied by
three officers from the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources -
head of delegation Mariani Haji Sabtu, coordination officer Siti
AbidahAlli, and logistic officer Haji BahrimHaji Jumat.
Arts and crafts were also featured at
the expo with the participation of the Public Authority for Craft
Industries, Oman Heritage Gallery, the Ministry of Heritage and
Culture and Omani Women Association at Seeb.
The exhibition, which is recognised
as the first of its kind in the Gulf, showcased products, services and
opportunities intended specifically for women.
The expo brought together some 75'
companies and organisations that offer a wide range of perfumes and
cosmetics, jewelleries, children's toys, bags and shoes, health
services, handicrafts, and career choices for women.
The major exhibitors at the expo
included Damas, MHD-Avon, The Patisserie, Muscat Pharmacy, Toys R Us,
The Body Shop, Muscat Private Hospital, A' Saffa Poultry Farms, and
Elixer Health Centre.
In addition to a wide range of
garments, shoes, jewelleries and beauty products, the expo also
presented education programmes. --
