Corruption Prevention Education

Begawan - Anti-Corruption Bureau, Prime Minister's Office, will
begin the integration of Corruption Prevention Education into the
National Curriculum from the beginning of the school term early next
year.
Preparations towards this goal have
been underway since April 2005 and made by the bureau in joint
cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
The objectives of teaching Corruption
Prevention Education to students in primary and secondary levels are
to uphold national aspirations, increase an understanding of
integrity, as well as encourage practices of good moral value.
Among the characteristics that it
will emphasise on are honesty, trustworthiness and sincerity.
A launching ceremony for the
integration is going to.& be held on January 7 at the ICC's Main
Conference Hall in Berakas from 8am. Exhibitions have been planned and
the event will be open to the general public. --
