Corruption Prevention Education
By Izam S. Ya'akub

Bandar Seri Begawan - Anti-Corruption Bureau, Prime Minister's Office, will begin the integration of Corruption Prevention Education into the National Curriculum from the beginning of the school term early next year.

Preparations towards this goal have been underway since April 2005 and made by the bureau in joint cooperation with the Ministry of Education.

The objectives of teaching Corruption Prevention Education to students in primary and secondary levels are to uphold national aspirations, increase an understanding of integrity, as well as encourage practices of good moral value.

Among the characteristics that it will emphasise on are honesty, trustworthiness and sincerity.

A launching ceremony for the integration is going to.& be held on January 7 at the ICC's Main Conference Hall in Berakas from 8am. Exhibitions have been planned and the event will be open to the general public. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
