Rain Blamed For Mishaps
By Asmanuddin PD
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Limited visibility and severe slippery road surface
conditions caused by the early morning heavy downpour were blamed for
three separate accidents along the Tutong Muara Highway. No serious
injuries were reported.
The first self-accident took place on
the way to Kuala Belait. The driver rammed into the roadside guardrail
after losing control of the car.
Another accident occurred on the
opposite lane close to the UBD-ITB - junction, which involved two
cars.
A passing motorist stopped and
offered assistance by alerting other motorists on the accident as the
visibility was poor.
The third mishap happened before the
border between Brunei-Muara and Tutong District.
One car allegedly spun 180 degrees
and collided head on against another car. --
