B.mobile is a joint venture company between Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) and QAF Comserve which was granted the licence in February 2005 to operate Brunei's first 3G mobile phone service, utilising the W-CDMA technology.

Following its successful trial launch early July, b.mobile has made a mark in redefining the standards in Brunei's telecommunications industry, with the introduction of a variety of price plans for different levels of subscribers.

"Our effort also focuses on expanding our network connectivity, not only within the Asean region, but also covering major cities and regions across the globe. Roaming is one of the key thrusts for b.mobile.

We have also invested heavily in human resource development and training, to enhance the skill and knowledge of our employees to cater for these very purpose.

"As part of our strategy to further increase profitability, we are looking at increasing revenues from mobile data and advanced broadband and internet services to complement the revenues from mobile voice," the company said on its website.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
