According to Coordination Officer Siti Abidah Alli, the objective of participating at the international expositions is to promote local products and services globally, and also to allow for international marketing exposure.

"This is in line with the strategic programme of MIPR for SMEs, so the local products and services are also internationally competitive and receive good reception in both local and international markets.

"Towards realising this, His Majesty's government will continue to strengthen cooperation with local entrepreneurs to help them build their strength and ability to compete in global markets through the provision of financial help, promotion and marketing as well as the elevation of human resource development through training and transfer of technology," she said.

She said during the events, the local companies received good reception from international entrepreneurs and buyers, including those who were interested in marketing the local products and services.

"There were a number of Oman entrepreneurs who met our businessmen for business matching too," she added. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
