Appointment Of Mukim Liang Consultative Council Bureau Heads

Bandar Seri Begawan – A ceremony was held recently at the Liang-Lumut Recreational Club to mark the official appointments of bureau heads for the Mukim Liang Consultative Council.

The gathering was also held to celebrate the Hari RayaAidilfitiri.

Present to hand over the letters of appointment to the various bureau heads of the consultative council was the Acting Belait District Officer, Hj Mohamad bin Hj Abd Rahman.

Among those appointed was Awg Chai Yum Fatt as head of the Agriculture Bureau.

The Agriculture Bureau will be carrying out various long-term farming projects in Mukim Liang. Awg Chai Yum Fatt will cooperate with the Agriculture Bureau committee members to obtain land to develop agricultural projects including livestock farming in Mukim Liang.

The main objective of the bureau is to create opportunities for residents of Mukim Liang and those from the surrounding areas who are interested to venture into the agriculture sector.

It is the aspiration of the bureau to improve the standard of living of the Mukim Liang communities in line with the effort of His Majesty's Government through the Agriculture Department.
