PAKAR Holds 2nd Annual General Meeting

Bandar Seri Begawan – PAKAR will play a proactive role in helping His Majesty's Government to achieve the national goals, said the President of Parti Kesedaran Rakyat Brunei (PAKAR), Awg Hj Maidin bin Hj Ahmad, during the party's second Annual General Meeting at the Riverview Hotel yesterday morning.

He urged all levels of the society, particularly professionals and experts from various fields, to join the party as members and provide their support and contribute towards the building of the nation.

He said the aim of PAKAR is to support the people's needs and enhance their social well-being.

Among the agenda of the meeting was the election of the party's deputy president, vice-president, secretarygeneral, head of youth movement and head of women's movement.

Proposed amendments to the party's constitution were also discussed and a report on the party's balance sheet from October 2004 to December 2005 was also disclosed. Currently, the party has about 80 members.
