Islamic Dakwah Gives Prizes

Bandar Seri Begawan – The Islamic Dakwah centre presented prizes to winners of the Ihya TV programme yesterday.

Present as the guest of honour was the Director of the Islamic Dakwah Centre, Dyg Hjh Zasia Binti Hj Sirin.

The lhya TV programme is a replacement to the Menjelang Sungkai Series and the newer version incorporated students' participation, featuring Islamic stories, and included a collective quiz.

The programme is a yearly project especially for the month of Ramadhan organised by the Media, Electronic and Lecture Section of the centre in cooperation with the Umah Development and Presentation Section of Radio Television Brunei.

The prizes were presented by the guest of honour to the winners. Gadong properties sponsored three hampers, Humairah Travel Centre (Borneo) sponsored the grand prize and a 'Hamba Allah' (god's servant) sponsored various other prizes.

The grand prize winner, Hjh Hamidah bte Hj Tajuddin, won an Umrah air ticket sponsored by Humairah Travel Centre (Borneo). The prize was presented by its manager, Hj Ramle Hj Kamis. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
