Improvement Proposal Scheme Launched

Bandar Seri Begawan – An `Improvement Proposal Scheme' was launched by Director of Youth and Sports Department, Awg Japar bin Bangkol, at Dewan Di Gadong, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports yesterday afternoon.

"The scheme is a project which gives participants the opportunity to voice their ideas and opinions. Officers and staff are encouraged to forward their problems and speak out on challenges they face to encourage unity in the public services.

The scheme hopes to present problems verbally in a proper manner without disregarding one's position. It will also present methods and ways of solving problems in hopes of increasing the quality of daily responsibilities," Awg Jafar added.

About 35 officers from the Youth and Sports Department are taking part in the project. The programme, originally an idea created by training officers, was presented to the Director of Youth and Sports after he attended a course organised by the Civil Service Institute.

After launching the programme, the director toured an exhibition set up in conjunction with the scheme. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
