Headmen In Temburong Receive Appointment Letters

Temburong - A ceremony was held for the presentation of appointment letters to the new headmen for the villages ofAmo and Sumbiling in the Temburong District yesterday.

The guest of honour at the function was Dato PadukaAwg Hj Adanan bin Hj Hanafiah, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Presently, Amo village has 526 residents while 334 people live in the village of Sumbiling.

In the ceremony held at the longhouse of Amo `C', Jenggak Anak Rantap @ Gingak was presented with the letter of appointment as the new headman of KampongAmo. He received the appointment letter from Dato Paduka Awg Hj Adanan.

Likewise, Igat Anak Tarang received his letter of appointment from the acting permanent secretary. in a separate ceremony held at the longhouse of Sumbiling Baru.

The guest of honour also unveiled the plaques at the residences of the two new headmen at their respective longhouses.
