Brunei To Take On Johor Today
By Dannie Abu Basrah
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Brunei DPMM FC after drawing 1-1 at home with
Terengganu will take on Johor tonight at the Tan Sri Dato Hj Hassan
Yunos Stadium in Johor Baru.
In their first game, Johor had beaten
Perak UPB 2-0 away with a double strike from Norizam Salaman on the
18th and 81st minute.
Brunei DPMM FC are currently in 4th
place of Group A behind Kelantan, Sarawak and Johor.
With all the 11 players who started
the game against Terengganu fit, it will surely be athrilling match as
Brunei DPMM FC go into the match searching for their first three
points.
Coach Buketa Ranko's 3-5-2 formation
proved to be effective as they controlled most possession of the ball
with the wingbacks providing numerous good crosses into the box but
unfortunately the only thing that was lacking in the previous game was
"efficiency".
Indeed the formation was undeniably
an entertaining and new experience for the supporters, but the team
seems to be lacking the venom up front and the solidness in the centre
of midfield that saw most of the hard work went to waste.
Fadlin
Galawat was at his usual superb form upfront against Terengganu
pairing alongside Antonio Lombardo Tosi, but the Brazilian was seen
for most part of the game strolling out of position to the left side
leaving Fadlin alone in attack that made it easier for the defenders
to mark.
As for midfielders, Goran Vusanovic's
free role in midfield became too freely at times exposing a big gap in
the centre of midfield instantly creating a good goal scoring
opportunity for the opponents as evident in the 69th minute goal by
Rosairil Mat Nor.
But despite those weaknesses, the
defence was brilliant and had good composure at the back with Rene
Komar in command while the two wingbacks, Hj Muhd Subhi Abdillah and
Sairol Hj Sahri too had a good game seeing both delivering plenty of
quality crosses into the box from the right and left flanks. --
