Winners Of Police Offices Beautification Contest Awarded

Bandar Seri Begawan - A certificate and prize presentation for the winners of the Beautification of Police Offices, Departments and Posts Brunei 2005 competition was held yesterday at the Multipurpose Hall of Royal Police Control Post in Beribi. The competition was divided into six categories.

Guest of honour at the ceremony was Police Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force, Pehin Datu Kerma Setia CP Dato Paduka Seri Zainuddin bin Jalani, who presented prizes and certificates to winners.

The ceremony started with a 'doa', followed by a welcoming speech from Head of Training, Administration and Finance Department cum chairperson of the event, Supt Ibrahim bin Haji Hassan.

The guest of honour then delivered a speech where he congratulated the winners and stressed the importance of such competitions as a tool to enhance a cooperative cultural environment as well as cleanliness within the team.

The competition also conveyed the police capabilities and professionalism in disciplinary practice. Certificates were awarded to the first three winners of each of the six categories.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
