Talk By Is Architecture Expert

Bandar Seri Begawan - Technonet Sdn Bhd and iManage Quality Services with cooperation from Info Spec Malaysia yesterday organised a talk by John Zachman, a leading expert in IS architecture from Enterprise Architecture, US.

Over 70 participants from the government sector and private corporations attended the talk, which was held at The Empire Hotel & Country Club.

Guest of honour at the event was Dato Paduka Hj Yusof bin Hasan, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications, on behalf of the Minister of Communications.

In his address, the guest of honour said, "E-governance promises a more effective, inclusive and participatory publicservices if it is well planned, well implemented, monitored and managed."

Meanwhile, Zachman spoke on the importance of the Information Age and its extreme complexity of equal access to information.

He discussed ways to accommodate challenges highlighting a characteristic of the Information Age, which needs extremely short periods of time to produce demanded sets of goods and services. Thus there was an immediate need to mass customise enterprises, he added.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
