Locals Flying To KL, Spore For
Holiday Period
By Azlan Othman
Bandar Seri
Begawan - What with the current school holidays, Bruneians are
in an upbeat mood and spending their free time abroad.
Travel agents recorded an increase in
bookings during this period with KL and Singapore being the most
popular destinations.
An agent in BSB commented that
customers did not mind paying the extra fares during this peak season.
"We have definitely seen an increase
in the volume of bookings," he remarked.
"During the first-week of December,
flights to these two destinations were fully booked. They had to get
confirmations and do not mind paying fares as high as B$622 for a
flight to KL or Singapore."
On the other hand, many Bruneians are
also spending their holidays staying at the Empire Hotel and Country
Club, which now offers an attractive rate of $199 until December 29
this year. --
