Construction Of New Multi-Million-Dollar Ministry Building In Full Swing

Bandar Seri Begawan - The construction of a new multi-million building for the Ministry of Education's Curriculum Development Department at Berakas Old Airport is currently in full swing.

Costing approximately B$6,125,849, construction began on the building November 24 last year.

The seven-storey building would consist of an assembly hall, library, education media and resource studies and ministers' offices, a social science unit, graphic workstation, as well as computer and prayer rooms, among many other facilities.

It is scheduled to be completed by the end of January next year. The project's main contractor is Hasbullah Daud Co Sdn Bhd, while its architect is Arkitek Ibrahim.

At present, the Department of Curriculum Development is situated at Jalan Pusar Ulak in Gadong.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
