RICS To Hold Workshop Dec 10 At Empire

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Brunei is going to hold a one-day workshop at the Empire Hotel and Country Club on December 10, stated a press release.

It will be attended by 15 chartered surveyors and aim to train participants to be qualified Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) assessors.

APC is the process by which the RICS seeks to be satisfied that candidates wishing to become institution's members are competent to practise as chartered surveyors.

To demonstrate this competence, candidates must firstly undergo a rigorous and demanding period of structured training. Its objective is to show that the knowledge of theory gained primarily in further education has been complemented with practical experiences.

Its second part is the final assessment interview. The workshop will be headed by two trainers from RICS, Asia Pacific.

Candidates are expected to consist of chartered surveyors from various faculties of the institution, namely quantity surveying, geomatics, valuations and general practices.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
