RICS To Hold Workshop Dec 10 At
Empire

Begawan - The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS),
Brunei is going to hold a one-day workshop at the Empire Hotel and
Country Club on December 10, stated a press release.
It will be attended by 15 chartered
surveyors and aim to train participants to be qualified Assessment of
Professional Competence (APC) assessors.
APC
is the process by which the RICS seeks to be satisfied that candidates
wishing to become institution's members are competent to practise as
chartered surveyors.
To demonstrate this competence,
candidates must firstly undergo a rigorous and demanding period of
structured training. Its objective is to show that the knowledge of
theory gained primarily in further education has been complemented
with practical experiences.
Its second part is the final
assessment interview. The workshop will be headed by two trainers from
RICS, Asia Pacific.
Candidates are expected to consist of
chartered surveyors from various faculties of the institution, namely
quantity surveying, geomatics, valuations and general practices.
