Blood Donation At Muara Police Station
By Jon Tampoi

Bandar Seri Begawan - Eight specialist staff members from the mobile blood donation unit of RIPAS Hospital was at the Muara police station yesterday as early as 8.30am to collect blood for the National Blood Bank of Brunei.

A pint of blood was collected from each personnel from various divisions of the police station who volunteered for the donation.

The project initiated by the Muara police unit and was open to all.

A person usually takes about six minutes to donate a- full pint of blood.

The blood bags are then put in a solution that prevents it from coagulating while being stored.

The collection is only kept for a certain period of time and will be disposed after the set duration. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
