His Majesty Leaves For Saudi Arabia

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon left for Saudi Arabia to attend the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC).

Accompanying His Majesty is HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Present at the Brunei International Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty were HRH Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and HRH Prince Abdul Malik. Doa selamat was read by the State Mufti, Pehin Dato Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz.

The aim of the two-day summit starting Wednesday is to restore the image of Islam, harmed by terrorist attacks carried out in the name of this righteous religion, said the Saudi Foreign Minister. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
