Brunei To Host Sarbica's Upcoming Events

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Southeast Asia Regional Branch of International Council of Archives (Sarbica) will hold its 15th General Conference and Seminar on Archives and Education as well as its 16th Executive Board Meeting in Brunei Darussalam, stated a press release from the Brunei Museums Department.

The National Archives of Brunei will play host for the four-day upcoming event tentatively set for April 24, 2006.

In the meeting, Brunei will take over the Sarbica Chairmanship for the period 2006-2008.

At the moment, the organisation is being chaired by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Brunei National Archives is under the administration of the Museums Department, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Interested individuals/parties/members ofthe public/government officers are invited to participate in the upcoming conference, where various issues pertaining to the archive's contribution towards education will be discussed amongst local as well as foreign experts.
