Doa Selamat For Haj Pilgrims

Bandar Seri Begawan - A doa selamat ceremony was held for intending Haj pilgrims at the Sharif Ali Mosque of Pekan Muara. The event was organised by the Mosque Affairs Department in collaboration with the Sharif Ali mosque.

At the function, the intending pilgrims were briefed on the dos and don'ts while performing Haj rituals in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

The briefing presented by a number of Mosque Affairs Depat tiuent officers touched on health, matters, pilgrimage purposes, travel agents and the welfare of pilgrims during the Haj.

The 70 participants who attended the doa selamat ceremony have been attending sessions on Haj rituals at Sekolah Ugama Pg Muda Abd Azim and Sekolah Ugama Sungai Besar. They came from Sungai Besar, Pelambaian, Serasa, Mentiri and other villages in the area.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
