BDS Marks 25th Anniversary With Graduation & Prize Giving Ceremony

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Bakti Dewa School (BDS) celebrated their 25"' year anniversary with Graduation & Prize Giving ceremony at the Function Hall of Sayyidina Husain Secondary School on Friday.

Themed "Continuous Growth Towards Educational Advancement", the event was attended by at least 500 parents, teachers and students.

Present as the chief guest was DrAwang Haji Mahali bin Hj Momin, the Director of Schools from the Ministry of Education. In his speech, he emphasised the importance of education and he encouraged the pupils to grasp their role at this young stage for the good of society and taking it seriously as they are the future leaders of the society.

Also present was PA Hjh Hafezzah Syukrina bte PA Hj Hassanuddin Al-Haj, the Executive Directress of the school, who presented prizes and awards to graduates in both Kindergarten and Primary 6 and also top three pupils in all classes assisted by the principal.

The TAIB Insurans Sdn Bhd was represented by Haj i Osman bin Mohd Jair, the Acting General of TAIB Insurance who handed certificates and a cash prize to four deserving students that achieved very satisfactory results in their PSR examination.

The annual DEWA AHMAD Award was given to Nurul Fatin Afiqah of Primary 6 for being a loyal student who excelled academically since Kindergarten to Primary 6.

In her speech, she thanked all teachers and her parents for presenting their love and support. There were also dance presentations to entertain the audience. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
