By Izam S. Ya'akub
Bandar Seri
Begawan - Four lucky students from Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan
Science College yesterday left for France, as part of a delegation
embarking on a two-week educational tour of the country.
Mohd
Haziq Hj Mohd Don, Ak Mohd Haziqul Hafly Pg Hj Harun, Raihana Mohammad
and Anis Bazilah Hj Ajamain were accompanied by their teacher, Cikgu
Rokiah Hj Asmakhan.
It is the, first time such a trip has
been organised for students from the Science College since French had
been taught in the Science College in 1999.
The trip will provide the students
with an eventful opportunity to experience not only the French
language but also the countryside, tradition and Gallic culture.
Present to wish the students farewell
at the airport and to present a mock ticket to Cikgu Rokiah was Mr.
Philippe Bourlis of Total (operating in Brunei as Total E&P Borneo BV
and Total E&P Deep Offshore Borneo BV).
Also contributing to the educational
tour was PGGMB, who had also sponsored tickets for members of the
travelling delegation.
Speaking to the Borneo Bulletin
before their departure, the students agreed in unison that the one
aspect of the trip that can not come soon enough for them is the trip
to Euro Disney, which will take place towards the end of their tour.
The students also remarked on how
they are looking forward to Besangon Citadel.
Apart from Paris, Champs Elysees,
Eiffel Tower and other famous sites, the students will also be
visiting Strasbourg and Besangon, where the Besangon Citadel is
located. A military architecture masterpiece built by Vauban under
