Volvo S60 Unveiled
By James Kon

Bandar Seri Begawan - Aiming to capture a slice of the middle high-end car market, United Motors Sdn Bhd, the main distributor of Volvo vehicles in Brunei Darussalam, yesterday morning unveiled the Swedish car maker's latest creation, Volvo S60.

Reborn to be a sporty Sedan, the Volvo S60 has been revamped in a large number of areas, giving the car a comprehensive stronger appearance and character.

The front of the Volvo S60 is entirely new with a more distinctive nose and rounded contours while the dark headlamp surrounds and the round fog-lamps also help create a distinct profile.

For the rear design, the Volvo S60's tail lamp is more technically inspired with transparent glass and visible bulbs.

Personal customisation is not a problem with the new Volvo S60 as customers have the options of 13 different selections of wheel to choose from.

For interior design, there are three different interior colours, namely Beige, Off Black and oak, while seats come with the choice of classic design seats or sport design seats.

Renowned for its safety features, Volvo S60 comes with an inflatable curtain for occupant protection, a side-impact protection system and adaptive airbags as well as an energy absorbing interior and a crumple zone to dissipate and distribute incoming collision.

At the moment, United Motors Sdn Bhd only brings in the 2..0-litre turbocharged petrol engine for the local- market.

The spirited high power engine yields a maximum torque from 2200 revs a minute and accelerates from 0km to 100km in 8.8 seconds.

Interested individuals can view the new Volvo S60 by visiting the showroom of United Motors Sdn Bhd at Beribi Industrial Area or get more information by contacting 2423305/2422354.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
