Raya Celebration For Land Dept

Bandar Seri Begawan - More than 200 of the Land Department's staff members from all four districts of the Sultanate, including officials, yesterday attended a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at LR Asma Hotel in Jerudong.

It also coincided with a presentation of souvenirs by Hepnie OKPSD Abang Hj Abu Hanifah, the Commissioner of Land and chief guest, to 13 staff members, three of whom retired and the rest transferred to other departments.

The function's highlights were karaoke performances and a lucky draw with some attractive prizes that included electrical goods.

In his welcoming speech, Pg Hj Salleh Pg Hj Apong, chairman of the ceremony, expressed his gratitude to all staff members and officers, especially the organising committee, for their hard work.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
