Waiting Period Revised For Philippine Visas

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Philippine Embassy in Brunei announced that holders of International Certificates of Identity (ICI) from Brunei Darussalam who wish to travel to the Philippines will now have to plan at least one month ahead of their actual trip.

The Embassy is now implementing the Philippine Government's, Visa Rules and Regulations which require prior authorisation from the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs before the issuance of visas to stateless persons.

ICI holders intending to go the Philippines are advised to submit their application to the Philippine Embassy at least three weeks before the scheduled departure to allow enough time for the necessary clearances from relevant Philippine Government agencies and the requisite authority from the Department of Foreign Affairs to be obtained.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
