PWM To Hold Xmas, New Year Gathering

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Persatuan Warganegara Malaysia (PWM) in collaboration with the Malaysian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam will organise a Christmas and New Year gathering at 7pm on January 7, 2006 at the Darussalam Hall of Chung Hwa Middle School in the capital.

During a press conference held yesterday at the Malaysian High Commission, the organising committee said the festive gathering is one of the multi-cultural activities organised by the association to celebrate Christmas and usher in the new year.

With the theme "Unity and Love", the event is also aimed at promoting a "Muhibah" spirit and fostering closer relations between Malaysians residing in the Sultanate and the local community.

Besides a buffet dinner, cultural performances and lucky draws will also be held to enliven the celebration. Door gifts and goodies will also be given away to all the guests at the function.
