Brunei Car Vandalized In Limbang
By Rosli Abidin Yahya

Bandar Seri Begawan - A local man who headed off to Limbang last Wednesday was shocked to discover his car - which was parked at the back alley of shops - vandalised.

Both front and rear wipers plus the licence plate were broken into pieces, he lamented.

However, he alleged the act of vandalism might have been committed by commercial-minded individuals who wanted him to replace the damaged parts before returning home.

"Because of the rainy weather, I had to replace the licence plate and wipers before heading home.

"Without replacements, I would not have been able to drive back to the Sultanate - especially without the screen wipers functioning well," he said.

"A Limbang resident who saw me inspecting my damaged car told me that his motorcycle had also been vandalised a few days earlier," he added.

The man who hails from Kg Berawan in Limbang alleged that his brake cable was cut into two.

The man rode the motorcycle on his way home only to find out that the brakes were not functioning.

"Luckily I was able to control my motorcycle, otherwise I could_ have ended up getting hurt," said the man.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
