Bands Explosion Finals Postponed

Bandar Seri Begawan - Due to the cancellation of Dewa concert in Brunei this Dec 3, organisers of the finals of the Bands Explosion 2005 said the contest that should have taken place on Dec 2 has also been postponed.

"It had to be cancelled because fans have to acquire $35 or $68 tickets for them to watch the two events.

"Since the Dewa concert has been cancelled, it is not fair for fans of Bands Explosion 2005 contest to purchase tickets only to see one event only," said organisers.

They said some Dewa members were supposed to be celebrity judges too and the winning band was scheduled to perform during the Dewa concert on Dec. 3 as a guest group.

"Therefore we have no alternative but to cancel the Bands Explosion 2005 and hold it sometime later," said the organisers.

Organised by Sri Citra Management and Duan's Rok' Skool (DRS) Entertainment & Production, eight local bands, Pyogenesis; Anthology; Forzart; Hazel; D'Fyn Boyz; Undergrip; Super Friends and Marra ,were set to battle it out to show their musical prowess and talents.

Organisers earlier said for the first time in Brunei, fans using one ticket could watch two musical performances on two nights.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
