Ministry Of Finance Receives Singapore Officers

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Finance yesterday received a visit from a group of senior government officers from the Singapore Civil Service.

Leading the group on the visit was Deputy Secretary for Policy at the Prime Minister's Office Miss Goh Soon Poh.

The day included a dialogue session, during which the 42 senior government officers were briefed on the functions of the Brunei International Financial Centre (BIFC).

The group - whose four-day visit to Brunei Darussalam concluded yesterday - was here to attend the `Governance and Leadership Programme,' which is a mid-level management development programme organised by the Singapore Civil Service College.

An important component of the curriculum of the programme is to enable these officers to better understand their ASEAN neighbours.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
