Nazmi Textile Boulevard Opens Its Doors To Public

Bandar Seri Begawan - The opening ceremony for Nazmi Textile Boulevard - located at Hua Ho Mall in Manggis - was yesterday officiated by Acting Minister of Home Affairs cum guest of honour Pehin Dato Paduka Haj i Awang Dani bin Haj i Ibrahim.

The day also saw the presentation of an $8,000 donation - raised by the textile company - made towards two organisations.

The Dana Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Orphan Fund received a $5,000 donation, while $3,000 was directed towards the Brunei-Muara District Children Orphan Committee.

On hand to receive the mock cheques from Nazmi Textile Mall Managing Director Nazeer Ahmad Zackiriah were Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Managing Director Dato Paduka Ali Hashim bin Haji Daud and Brunei-Muara Assistant District Officer Awg Haji Jamain bin Momin.

Later, the chief guest cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the new outlet, before he toured the establishment.

According to Nazmi Textile Mall Managing Director Nazeer Ahmad Zackiriah, the latest branch is the ninth outlet in the country.

The opening of the latest branch offers shoppers a wider selection of exclusive and quality materials at competitive prices. In addition, this would attract not only locals but also foreign tourists to shop for textiles in Brunei, he added.

"This is something that Brunei can offer to foreign tourists," he said, adding that people need not go aboard to shop as everything is available here.
