Chinese university delegates visit

Four delegates from Jinan University
in Guangzhou, China made an official visit yesterday morning to Chung
Hua Middle School in Kuala Belait to promote the university and to set
up link with the local Chinese communities in Brunei.
Vice Chancellor of the university,
Professor Liu Ren Huai said that there are currently 7,300 students
from 52 different countries undertaking courses in the university,
which offers four majors in English, that is, International Economy
and Trade, Accounting, Clinical Medicine and Food Quality & Safety.
It also offers courses on Chinese
Language and Culture. Jinan University boasts as the first university
in China to recruit foreign students and also has the largest number
of overseas students.
Its medicinal programmes and practice
are also recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
