Looking for cheap, quality food at an
affordable price, Restaurant Nasi Ayam at Sengkurong is the place to
go. The place which has been running for six years not only attracts
customers from Kuala Belait but also tourists from as far as Miri and
Taiwan.
Starting as early as seven thirty in
the morning, customers go there for breakfast and at around eleven
there will be regular customers ordering their favourite lunch dishes.
"People like our Nasi Lemak and
Nasi Ayam here," said Michelle Gan, the restaurant owner.
"We not only serve bigger helping but the price is also
affordable to average income customers."
Their special Nasi Lemak is different
than those serve by other restaurants.
It has fried sotong, roasted chicken,
sambal, egg, peanut and cucumber. To top the menu, their chef has
other all-time favourite dishes from Singapore and different states of
Malaysia.
The restaurant also serves various
types of juices ranging from Kiwi to Pandan wheatgrass Alfafa which
helps to flush out body toxins.
During Ramadhan, customers would
order for Curry Chicken and Nasi Ayam for breaking fast 'sungkai'.
Although business is slow during the
fasting month, people still go to the restaurant once they know the
variety of dishes offered, said Michelle.
She is also open to any suggestion or
recommendation made by dissatisfied customers.
This would be for the better of their
services. The other newly opened Nasi Ayam outlet, Al-Hidayah
Restaurant is in Muara town.
