Bandar Seri Begawan - Local youths who ate interested in pursuing a career in Malay Tradition massage will be able to undergo a unique training commencing this November, thanks to a local company and its Malaysian counterpart which signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) yesterday.

The MoU was signed between Pg Hj Abu Dakar Pg Hj Mohamad of Hasbiya Nurul Ulum Education Services and Syed Mahdi Faoze Barakbah, principal consultant of Tongkat Tua Enterprise, Malaysia in providing massage training for the first time here. According to Syed Malidil he said his company will teach participants the systematic and proper way of Malay traditional massage,

"A massager therapist must know how to massage correctly otherwise he or she could mess up the body system.

"'The training that will be taught by professionals and will show them the correct and proper way of messages," he said.

Meanwhile, Pg Hj Abu Bakar said the training will allow local youths to become professionals in Malay traditional massage.

"Clients will not feel hesitant to approach professional massagers. Furthermore, the course will keep the Malay traditional massage alive, which is believed to cure various physical and spiritual ailments,” he said.

Syed Malta said massage is an instinctive human response that slot developed over the centuries into a sophisticates healing art and science.

Tradition massage therapy is an alternative massage health package offered since many generations ago.
