Megamas Obtains Accreditation To Deliver H2S Courses

Kuala Belait – Megamas Training Company, based in Kuala Belait, and one of the leading training providers for Health Safety and Environment (HSE) in Southeast Asia, recently received international ONTO accreditation to deliver H2S (Hydrogen Sulphide) courses, said a press release.

Megamas is also the first training provider in Southeast Asia to receive this qualification to meet the new OPITO standard for 2S. It has build its reputation for HSE quality training and has served Brunei Darussalam well over the years, putting HSE training in Brunei at the very top of the league within Asian . In line with the aspirations of the nation, Megamas has developed an outstanding localization policy whereby 90 per cent of all staff are local Bruneian citizens.

The press release also stated that Megamas has also achieved an outstanding safety performance of 18 years LTI free—unequalled by any other training providers in the region — and also believed to be a world record in providing quality

HSE training to international standards in a safe environment.

Not long ago, the British Safety Council has once again awarded Megamas Training Company SDN BHD, in Kuala Belait, an International Safety Award for 2007 — fourth consecutive year — for an outstanding achievement in safety.

Megamas obtained ISO 9002 in 1997, and in 2003, gained ISO 9001:2000 from BVQI. Having just recently established another training branch in Kiulap, Megamas is also known as the first training provider in Southeast Asia to become OPITO Approved for Tropical Basic: Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET), Tropical Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET), Offshore Emergency Response Team Member and Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader.  -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
