For Relevant Courses

Bandar Seri
Begawan - The Health Minister, Pehin Orang Kaya Indera
Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Suyoi bin Hj Osman, in his address
at the Graduation Ceremony for Students of Laksmana College of
Business 2007/2008 Session said that the achievement of any national
qualification brings a great senses of fulfillment to the achiever.

The ceremony
saw the graduation of 95 students comprising graduates of BA
Common Year One, University Foundation Course, Higher
Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Diploma Certificates in
Business Management.
The minister also applauded
the college's effort in running the Certified Financial
Planner course in collaboration with International Financial
Professional and Advisers Malaysia as it enables those who
are working in the banking sector to upgrade their level of
professionalism.
"The fact that some banking
personnel have already obtained their CFP Certificates and
with more banks and other financial institutions are |

keen in joining this
course is a testimony to the relevance of the course in
the current employment market." |
Another achievement that the
college could take pride in is the University Foundation Course run
by LCB as an affiliated centre of Kensington College of Business in
London being recognized for admission to bachelor degrees by over 30
British universities.
He noted that the government of His
Majesty and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam sees the private
sector as a close partner with identical objectives, pointing out
that private educations such as LCB are special to the nation
because they directly assist the government to train youths and
provide them with the opportunity of pursuing their dream of higher
education.
He urged education institutions
such as LCB to continue expanding access to higher education to many
more qualified Bruneians to realize their dreams and develop a
strong human resource base in the country.
He also encouraged all institutions
to develop their own internal and external quality assurance
mechanism.
"However, this should not be done
at the expense of quality because at the end of the day, we shall be
judged by the products we release into the market. Let us not forget
that employers will judge our graduates not only by their
qualifications but also through the quality of their performance at
work." --
