Bandar Seri Begawan - The 2008 Brunei National Open Table Tennis Championships came to an end on Sunday at the Maktab DPM Al-Muhtadee Billah College Gymnasium after three consecutive Sundays of competition, according to a press release received yesterday.

A total of over 90 men and 17 women took part in this annual competition.

The Acting Principal of Maktab DPM Al-Muhtadee Billah College, Dayang Hajah Seroja binti Haji Siau presented the prizes to the winners.

The women's singles champion was Foo Su Shan (gold), while Audrey Koh won the silver and Lim Mei Jean and Goh Jia Yih won the bronze.

The men's singles champion was Md Zulfadli bin Haji Abdul Rahman (gold), while Paul Lim won the silver and Pg Md Sufian bin Pg Hj Ibrahim and Douglas Lim Chong Yan won the bronze.

The veteran men's singles champion was Lee Pak Kui (gold) while Foo Chie Chee won the silver and Chee. Gil Su won the bronze.

The women's doubles was won by Foo Su Shan/Audry Koh (gold) while Lim Mei Jean/Kiung Siang Yi won the silver and the bronze went to Goh Jia Yih/Lau Hui Chuen and Chiang Chiew Yun/Wong Hui.

The men's doubles was won by Md Zulfadli bin Haji Abd Rahman/Douglas Lim Chong Yan (gold), the silver went to Wee Tzu Min/Lei Jian Liang and the bronze to Lee Pak Kui/Md Hanifah bin Hj Bungsu and SSJN Zulkifli bin Hj Md Yassin/Rahim Munggu. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
