Bangladesh with nine gold, three
silver and one bronze medals were the champions of the 2nd Asia
Pacific Special Olympic Bocce competition organised by the Special
Olympic of Brunei Darussalam at the Hassanal Bolkiah Track and Field
in Berakas yesterday.
The following categories were
contested - men's unified doubles, women's unified doubles, men's
team, women's team, women's unified and men's unified team. There
was also an event for coaches.
The countries that participated in
the event were Bangladesh, Brunei Darussalam - Team 'A' and 'B',
Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines and Singapore.
Pakistan won five gold, two silver
medals, Malaysia won five gold, four silver and four bronze medals,
Pakistan (five gold and two silver), Philippines (three gold, five
silver and four bronze), Brunei Team 'B' (two gold, four silver and
six bronze), Brunei Team 'A' (one gold, four silver and six bronze)
and Singapore (one gold and four silver).
