HM At Princess Nor’ain’s Son's Wedding

Brunei-Muara - His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha, and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar yesterday graced the Majlis Bersanding for Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Nor'ain's second son, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Kadir Al-Marhum Pengiran Maharaja Lela Sahibul Kahar Pengiran Anak Hj Mohd Yusof and Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin Hj Johari.

The event was held at the groom's residence in Jalan Tutong.

Also attending the ceremony were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, and other members of the royal family.

In accordance to royal wedding traditions, a number of ornaments and royal regalia were featured in the wedding event, lending a glorious and regal atmosphere to the event.

For instance, Dian Empat and two Dian Bunga were positioned at the corners of the walkway to the bridal dais.

These ceremonial candles were lighted by four Awang-Awang.

A Kasur Namat was also placed in the middle of the dais.

The ceremony then proceeded with the appearance of the bride, Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin.

Resplendent in her wedding attire and adorned with sparkling ornaments, the beautiful bride was accompanied up to the bridal dais by two Pengangun.

This was followed by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Kadir's entrance.

The groom, handsome and regal in his wedding attire, was escorted by Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim Hj Besar, onto the dais.

Upon the arrival of the groom at the dais, where the bride was already seated, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim set Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Kadir's hand on top of the bride's head.

The Majlis Bersanding then commenced with a Salawat by Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim.

Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim continued the ceremony by reading a Doa Selamat
