Berinai Ceremony For HRH Princess Hajah Nor’ain’s Son

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Majlis Berinai for Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Nor'ain's second son, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Hj Abdul Kadir Al-marhum Pengiran Maharaja Lela Sahibul Kahar Pengiran Anak Hj Mohd Yusof and Yang Mulia Dayang Hjh Norashikin Hj Johari was held last night at Ma'wassalihin, the groom's residence, in Jalan Tutong.

Gracing the ceremony were Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hjh Saleha and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar. Also attending the ceremony were Her Royal Highness Princess Hjh Masna, Her Royal Highness Princess Hjh Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hjh Majeedah Nuurul Bulqiah and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Maharaja Setia Laila Diraja Sahibul Irshad Pengiran Anak Hj Abdul Rahim.

Prior to the start of the Maf lis Berinai, customary to royal weddings ceremonies, the dian empat was put in place followed by the kasur namat.

The arrival of the groom, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Hj Abdul Kadir was preceded by the dian tunggul which was carried in followed by the Awang-Awang carrying the royal regalia and also the dian enam belas.

The groom wore a tradition green and gold songket, complimenting well as he sat at the white, cream and pale green dais.

The ceremony began with Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha staining the hands of the groom with henna leaves paste, followed by Her Royal Highness Pengiran Isteri Azrinaz Mazhar and the rest of the royal family.

To bless the event, a doa selamat was read. A similar ceremony was also held for the bride, Yang Mulia Dayang Hjh Norashikin, soon after Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Hj Abdul Kadir left the ceremony. The bride was dressed in green and gold songket, similar to the groom.
