Brunei Tourism Department Gives
Warm Welcome To Korean Tourist Chartered Flight

Begawan - On the 11th August 2007, at 10:25 pm, a chartered
flight carrying over 200 Korean tourists is expected to land at the
Brunei International Airport.
A cultural welcoming reception of
traditional hadrah and `bunga telur' organized by Brunei Tourism
Development Department will greet them upon arrival. A similar
charter flight recently arrived on the 7th August 2007 carrying the
same number of tourists.
The chartered flights are using
Royal Brunei Airlines aircraft, and are coordinated by Nettour, a
Korean based tour operator who also organized a series of 9 charter
flights in January and February 2006 that brought an average of over
100 passengers per flight.
The growing interest in Brunei by
Korean tour operators and traveling public is a result of the
combined marketing efforts by the Brunei Tourism Development
Department and Bruneian tour agents and hotels in the Korean market,
where Brunei participates annually in the Korea Travel Fair.
Brunei Tourism Development
Department is playing its role in enhancing the package experience
for the tourists by organizing a warm cultural welcome for both
chartered flights.
These charters carry clients from 5
different Korean Tour Operators, namely Hanna Tour, Mode Tour,
Hanjin Tour, Nex Tour and Nettour, the charters' organizers.
A spokesperson for Nettour stated
that they started selling tour packages to Brunei Darussalam 4 years
ago, and this has helped position the Kingdom of Unexpected
Treasures in the Korean market.
Nettour
has previously organized a number of successful chartered flights
starting in 2003, and is gaining a reputation as a Brunei
specialist.
If all goes well, the company is
sure that Brunei Darussalam will see rapid growth in Korean
arrivals, placing Brunei among the top now holiday destinations in
Asia for the Korean market.
During their 5 days package, the
Korean tourists, consisting mainly of families, will be visiting
marry places of interest in Brunei Darussalam, namely the Water
Village, Royal Regalia Museum, game' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque,
Gadong Food Market and taking the Proboscis Monkey Tours along the
mangrove covered shores of the Brunei River, as well as playing
rounds of golf at the country's various golf courses.
Brunei Tourism is the Tourism
Department in Brunei's Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources,
in charge of the international promotion and marketing of Brunei as
o tourism destination of choice, acting as secretariat and executor
of Brunei Tourism Board's mandate.
