Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of
Defence and various law enforcement agencies flew aboard the USS

Upon arrival at the USS Nimitz, US

The minister and guests received a

USS Nimitz is equipped with a
barbershop that looks after 1,500 heads each week, a post office
that processes more than one million pounds of mail each year, as
well as a fully equipped dental facility staffed by five dentists.
Its Medical Department meanwhile is manned by six doctors, including
a general surgeon who provides everything from surgery to
hydrotherapy. The ship also features a 53-bed hospital ward and a
three-bed ICU, while acting as the hospital ship for the entire
Nimitz battle group.

onboard that complement Internet-based instructions for crewmembers
seeking to improve their skills while off-duty.
Four distilling units enable Nimitz
engineers to make over 400,000 gallons of freshwater a day for the
propulsion plants, catapults and crew usage, while its Food Services
Department provides 18,000 to 20,000 meals a day and can stock at
least 70 days of refrigerated and dry storage goods.
Literally tonnes of wash are done
daily by Nimitz's laundry, dry cleaning and tailoring services
personnel, while its three chaplains conduct daily religious
services in an interdenominational chapel, concludes the press
statement. -- Courtesy of Borneo
