US Orient Band To Play In Brunei

Bandar Seri Begawan - The United States Orient Express band will conduct a series of public performances in the capital.

On Aug 4, it will play from 4pm to 6pm for SMARTER at the 2nd Floor, the Mall Gadong, and at 8pm to 10pm for a second performance.

On Aug 5, Sunday the US Orient Express band will also travel to Kuala Belait to conduct a dual performance alongside the RBAF band at the Taman Jubilee Park in Kuala Belait at 8pm onwards. On Aug 6, the band will perform a concert at Dewan Di-Gadong, Ministry of Culture Youth and Sport building, in Jalan Kebangsaan from 8-9pm.

Its last performance will be at Pusat Ehsan on August 7. The Seventh Fleet band was created in 1943 with the establishment of the US Seventh Fleet.

The band is based in Yokosuka, Japan along with the flagship for the commander of the US Seventh Fleet, the USS Blue Ridge. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
