Day Two Of Disaster Management Workshop

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Darussalam Disaster Management Workshop entered its second day at the Caesar Hall, Orchid Garden Hotel in Berakas.

Yesterday saw the participants using a game scenario to explore the processes behind coordinating a "whole of government" response to a disaster within the context of the country's disaster management strategy.

Among the topics discussed during the workshop were "Situation' Assessment", "Response", "Transition and Recovery", and "Planning, Preparation and Prevention", facilitated by Col Charlie King, Dr Zulkarnain, Professor Butch Finley and Dr Ang Swee Hui. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
