Thanks Giving In Temburong

Bandar Seri Begawan - It is the concerted role and responsibility of citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam to safeguard the security, peace, sovereignty, integrity, prosperity and harmony of the nation.

This was said Tuesday by Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Dato Paduka Haji Adanan during a thanksgiving and appreciation ceremony in conjunction with the monarch's 59'" birthday celebrations in the Temburong District.

At the function, the minister also announced that Temburong District has been adjudged the winner in the `Best Decoration Presentation for the Majlis Santap' and first runner-up in the `Best Field Presentation' categories during the get-together ceremony between the monarch and the rakyat.

Temburong District Officer Pengiran Abdul Harris bin Pengiran Haji Shabudin, Chairman of the Celebration's Executive Committee, received a trophy in appreciation of his contributions for the success of the ceremony.

Temburong District also won the `Best Decoration Presentation for the Majlis Santap" category last year.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to other members of the executive and sub-committee as well as representatives of sponsors of the celebration.
