Eighteen new recruits of the Airport Fire Services took time off from
their busy training schedule to pay a study visit to the Royal Brunei
Airline's Hangar yesterday morning.
Led by Haji Abd Safar Abd Rahman,
Acting Superintendent (Research & Development) Airport Fire Services,
the visiting group of fire services recruits was welcomed by Pengiran
Haji Shamsir bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Hidup, Technical Training
Administrator and Hajah Mardianah, the Assistant Public Relations
Officer of RBA.
Their first stop was at the safety
equipment workshop where Haji Juffri, the supervisor of the workshop,
brought the visiting delegation for a tour around the facilities.
After touring the Wheelbase, the
visiting group then moved on to the engine and plating workshops where
the visitors were greeted by Mazni Latip Abdullah, the Head Mechanic

The visiting group also witnessed a
gold plating demonstration. The visit was aimed at allowing the new
airport fire services recruits to see the various facilities available
at the RBA Hangar as well as the aircraft system, as both areas come
