By Lyna Mohamad

During the 'Pasang' workshop yesterday.
More than 20 people attended a
workshop on techniques of playing the traditional board game, 'Pasang',
yesterday at the Central Lecture Theatre of Universiti Brunei
Darussalam (UBD).
The workshop was to brush up the
participants' playing skills and to prepare them for the 'Pasang'
tournament scheduled to begin tomorrow. It was conducted by 14
trainers from Brunei Museum headed by its Customer Services Officer Pg
Hj Ismail Pg Ibrahim.
According to Pg Hj Ismail, it was the
second time that the club has invited them to conduct the workshop for
its members, where the first was held in February this year.
The 'Pasang' tournament, which is
being organised by the Heritage Club with cooperation from Brunei
Museum, will draw to a close this Sunday (August 28).
Meanwhile, the president of the
Heritage Club, Dyg Masnoni Mohd Mahari, said that the club was aimed
at introducing traditional games to its members, where it is hoped
that they would teach their relatives and friends how to play the
game. She added that this would ensure that the traditional game would
not be forgotten.
She noted that the Heritage Club,
which focuses on Bruneian heritage, has so far been one of the active
clubs in UBD, where various field trips have been organised.
It is hoped that the workshop and
tournament would help promote the club and attract even more members,
particularly those who have keen interest in Bruneian heritage, she
added.
