Stars Shine Vs Warriors
By James Kon

Bandar Seri Begawan - It was a slam dunk show time last night at the National Indoor Stadium, as PBA All Stars walloped hapless Warriors 133-67 for their second straight win in the 5th Shell Rimula Cup.

Having lost their first game to the Toshiba Bravethunders on Saturday, the All Star team seemed more composed in last night's encounter, and looking more like a real title contender.

The Warriors, a last minute makeup of Filipinos residing in Brunei plus a numbers of import players, have now lost all their matches in the tournament as well as their hope of making the semis.

All-Stars' Taulava scored 18 points in the game while his team-mated N. Belasco put in 15 point and No.10 Adducol, contributed 12 points to the PBA tally. As for the Warriors, no. 14 Dele Rea scored with 15 points, Ricky Ricafuente had 11 points and no 12 Carillos also put in 15 points.

With their height advantage, the All-Stars were a class ahead of the Warriors, Taulava and no. 15 K. Raymundo tearing the Warrior defence inside out, sinking them without trace by their slam dunks and offensive plays.

The All-Stars were just as impressive defensively, limiting the Warriors to outside shooting. By the end of the first quarter, PBA were a massive 20 points ahead, at 37-17. The lead was stretch to an unassailable 35 points, at 72-37 by the end of the second quarter.

It was all over as a contest by third quarter as the All-Stars went into orbit, leading by 113-51.

In another game last night, Toshiba Bravethunders beat Alaska Aces 78-69.
